SUMMARY:Thursday Night Prayer Watch
DESCRIPTION:Jesus asked His closest friends for one thing in the garden: “Watch and pray” (Matthew 26:41). They fell asleep. We don’t have to. \nEvery Thursday night at 6:30\, Sharon Reformed Church and Finger Lakes Reformed Church get on Zoom and pray together. Two congregations. One hour. One purpose. \nWhat we pray for \nWe pray for one another. We pray for our missionaries in the field. We pray for our communities and the people in them who do not yet know Christ. \nWhat to expect \nNo polish required. You don’t need fancy words\, and you don’t have to pray out loud. God does not ask for impressive prayers. He asks for His people to pray. Join from your kitchen table\, your truck\, or your living room. \nHow to join \nText Pastor Jim at 518-844-9304 or email pastor@sharonreformed.org and we will send you the Zoom link.

SUMMARY:Sunday Worship: “He Went Back.” (Acts 14:21-28)
DESCRIPTION:They stoned him. They dragged him out of the city. They left him for dead. The next morning\, Paul got up and walked back into the same town that did it. \nThis Sunday we continue our verse-by-verse series through the book of Acts\, “The Acts of the Risen Lord\,” with Acts 14:21-28. Paul and Barnabas finish the first missionary journey by going back through Lystra\, Iconium\, and Antioch\, the three cities that ran them out\, to strengthen brand-new believers\, tell them the truth about the road ahead\, and appoint elders in every church. Then they go home and report\, not what they did\, but what God did. \nPastor Jim Peck will walk through the passage in three movements: \n\nHe Went Back (vv. 21-23)\nHe Went Home (vv. 24-26)\nHe Went on Record (vv. 27-28)\n\nAlong the way we will meet Ernest Shackleton\, 22 men stranded on a beach at the bottom of the world\, and the borrowed tugboat that went back for them. And we will ask a hard question: who is watching to see whether you will come back? \nWhat to Expect \nWorship is about an hour\, with a mix of traditional and modern hymns\, Scripture\, prayer\, and expository preaching straight from the text. Dress is casual. Children are welcome in the service. Use the rear entrance; parking is behind the building. \nCan’t Make It? \nSermons are posted to our YouTube channel each week. \nGive Online \nhttps://sharon-reformed-church-473467.churchcenter.com/giving\nGifts for the Finger Lakes campus can be given here. Note “FLRC” in the memo. One church\, two campuses. \nQuestions? \nPastor Jim\, 518-844-9304 \nBring a friend. There is always one more. #OneMore
